VALENTINE’S DAY DINNER

The Dinner will be at 

LPCA’s approach provides a unique educational balance: structured curriculum interwoven with child-directed learning and firsthand observation. Although the children follow a schedule and curriculum as they would in a more traditional school, they can also watch chicks hatch, pet a camel or work with a biologist on learning about coral preservation.

The school focuses on strong, focused academics in the first 1/2 of the day.  However, after lunch, the children can choose among various learning centers whereby hands-on enrichment is used to teach the lesson. On Wednesdays, the children have an animal encounter and are taken on a train ride throughout the beautiful acreage of the Zoo. On this day of the week, we concentrate on zoology, biology, geography, and a special Chapel time with a focus on appreciating God for the wonderful land and animals. It is a one-of-a-kind type of school environment that teaches children to respect and preserve our planet.

In combination with a Christian instructional curriculum, we give students the opportunity to experience hands-on learning and pursue their own open-ended research. We have given the students the perfect environment for this type of “hybrid learning” as our school is located inside of the ZOO of Northwest Florida. We also have a beautiful preschool, founded on the same principles, that is located within walking distance of the Zoo.
